Frequently Asked Questions
We absolutely welcome dogs in our restaurants. We just ask that if they are very curious if you could keep them on a lead, and of course since our restaurants are on the smaller side for example Great Danes are a bit harder to accommodate. But if they are small-medium sized we would absolutely love to have them come to Bubala 😊
We can absolutely cater for gluten free guests - majority of our menu is gluten free, and we can substitute our breads with crudites, and our chefs can cook other dishes separately to avoid any traces of gluten as well.
We are not officially recognised as a kosher restaurant, however, we do only serve vegetarian and vegan food and don't allow any meat in the building.
Yes, we have a couple of high chairs in both restaurants, and a baby changing station in our Soho restaurant, unfortunately none at Spitalfields at the moment. Our restaurants are on the smaller side, so we would appreciate it if you could mention in the booking notes if you need space for a pram next to the table so we can allocate your booking accordingly.
Yes, we do always keep tables available for walk-ins, however these can't be guaranteed as they are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Our staff will always do their best to accommodate you if it's possible. Your best option is arriving around our opening time - noon for lunch in all sites, and 5:30pm for dinner in Soho, 6pm in Spitalfields.
Yes, you can purchase a gift card via our website, it's valid in all of our restaurants for one year from the purchase date. The recipient just needs to show the code to their waiter at the end of the meal and we will then deduct the amount from the bill.
Yes, absolutely! We can offer either a solo set menu, or a la carte for solo diners.
For dinner we only offer our Bubala Knows Best set menu in the Spitalfields restaurant - we offer a la carte as an option during lunch times. In our Soho restaurant we offer both a la carte and set menu for both lunch and dinner for all groups of 6 or less guests.
Our Soho restaurant is wheelchair accessible - there's only a small step (~5 inches) to get to the restaurant and there's a washroom located on the same floor as the restaurant. Spitalfields unfortunately is the opposite, there's a bigger step to the restaurant and washrooms are located on the first floor, up 20 or so steps.
You can add yourself to an 'Alert Me' list through our booking system and you'll then get a notification if an appropriate table becomes available.
